Lush Haul 23/08/15

Hey guys! As you may or may not know Lush is one of my favourite places to shop and have totally converted me to having baths instead of showers. My sister was in town today so I asked her to pick me up a couple of things (thank you Lisa) and I thought I would share them with you all! I have yet to use any of these products so these are all just my first impressions, hope you all enjoy!

Firstly I'll start with the 'Frozen' bath bomb. Its not my favourite smelling one out of all the ones I've tried but I still really wanted to try it! It also has a little shout out to the movie with the description 'do you want to have a bath bomb? do you want to splash and play'.

Next is the 'Intergalactic' bath bomb which smells like peppermint so it smells like it would be really refreshing so I look forward to testing it out, not to mention the fact it has popping candy in it!?

Onto 'The Experimenter' bath bomb which is the one I am most excited about, just look at it! I can't even imagine how amazing this would make your bath water so I'm going to have to use it pretty soon.

Now we're onto the 'karma' bubble bar which is my second favourite looking one out of this haul and it's also my second favourite smelling one! I love my bath bombs but since I rarely buy bubble bars they're such a treat and this one definitely looks like its gonna be good.

And finally we have the 'Yuzu & Cocoa' bubbleroon. Let me start by saying this is 100% the best smelling one for me and it has coconut oil and shea butter to help soften your skin which I am all about because if theres one love its for my skin to be soft!

Thank you all for reading and let me know what your favourite lush products are so I can try them out next time!

OOTD 2nd July.

Hey guys, on Thursday I met up with two of my friends and I thought I would just post what I wore that day!

First I got a black oversized jumper and paired it with some tights, I love this jumper because its so comfortable and easy to throw on. Then I got a pair of heeled sandals and a long chain necklace to dress it up a bit and not look as plain. This necklace is so beautiful and no picture could do it justice! I usually just wear jeans and a top so this was a little bit different for me (even though I still stuck to wearing black as usual). I'll leave all the links to the clothes below!

sandals (the ones I have are gone but I found some similar ones here): http://www.newlook.com/eu/shop/shoe-gallery/view-all-shoes/black-chunky-caged-t-bar-sandals-_332357101

Choosing Recovery.

Hey guys, I know I've been terrible at keeping up blogging but I'm gonna try really hard to start writing more as its something I really enjoy.

Today is going to be a different kind of post that I'm used to because I would like to make this blog more personal. I would like to talk about mental illness and first off let me say if anyone here is reading this and doesn't 'believe' in mental illness or think its a real thing please stop reading now as I don't need your negativity on my blog.

As some of you may know I have struggled with mental health issues for a couple of years. This is a post I have wanted to make for a while now as I think its important that we try to get rid of stigma surrounding around mental illness.

For anyone who currently suffers from some form of mental illness or knows someone who suffers, you probably know that recovery isn't an easy journey. Its not as simple as switching off the sad part of you and getting back to your life, its a bumpy road with ups and downs. For me in my deepest stages of depression it was extremely difficult to get out of bed and do 'normal' things like go to the shops, going to school and spend time with my family.

I left school and stayed at home in my bed all day and people would call me lazy but in actual fact I couldn't get out and face the world, I didn't want to and saw no point because everything looked so bleak. I left dancing, something that I had done since I was five years old because there was no enjoyment in it for me anymore. I stopped talking to almost all my friends and pushed them all away. It was really tough for me to even practice self care.

I've been living with this for the last three years and its prevented me from so many things but now I think I'm ready to get free from its grips and start living my life again. I have very recently started back in education (which is still bloody terrifying every day), I'm back in dancing and I have really good friends. To anyone who is in a bad place at the moment, please hold on. It will get better eventually. This time last year I couldn't even imagine how I would be doing today, of course there will be relapses and there will be hard days but give it time and you'll see. Recovery is worth it, you have so much to look forward to in your life!

Also please be nice to everyone that you meet in life, you never know what battle they're fighting.

Sinéad xx

(P.S I have only given a quick summary as there was a lot of stuff I don't want to mention on such a public platform at this time because I don't feel quite ready yet but maybe sometime in the future I will go into more details if you guys would like me to? Let me know in the comments!)

Visit To Howth

Hey guys! Today's post isn't very interesting but I just wanted to put up a couple of pictures I took whilst I was in Howth a few days ago. I haven't been out to Howth in a couple of years and when I went the other day it brought back a lot of happy memories from when I was younger (unfortunately I forgot how bloody cold it was!)

Do you have any places you used to visit when you were younger? Let me know in the comments below!

Magnitone Lucid Review

Hey guys! Today I will be talking about the 'Magnitone Lucid' cleansing brush. I had seen many people using this and I was so excited to get my own as I am probably the worst person for looking after my skin and this seemed like a quite easy way to keep your skin in good condition. You use this with your usual facial cleanser and it takes one minute to cleanse your whole face and it has a 20 second zonal timer with two modes (deep clean and sensitive). Magnitone claims that this product can make your skin 'softer, brighter and clearer' in seven days and I think for me this is the case. After using this product for 7 days my skin seems to be a lot brighter and clearer and my makeup looks much better on my face! This cleansing brush is small and compact so it would be great for traveling as well as the fact that I only charged it once and it still doesn't need to be recharged. I think this product is something I will be using for a long time! Check out magnitone at https://magnitone.co.uk/

What do you use to keep your skin in good condition? Let me know in a comment below!

Triangl Swimwear

Hey guys! Today's post is about Triangl swimwear. If you've never heard of them they're a company that sells the most beautiful bikinis ever. They often gift people bikinis and a couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent one (thank you to Emma!) I chose the 'Penny Wanderlust' because I love the deep blue colour on the bottoms! I also love the 'Bambi- Bubble Mint' set and I'm hoping to invest in one soon. Check them out at www.triangl.com
